This canton blue and white porcelain plate features an elegant landscape pattern. This type of blue and white porcelain was one of the most enduring porcelains in Chinese history. The patterns are hand painted with the blue pigment derived from cobalt oxide. This plate was made in the 19th century for export to the Western markets.
